Stephen Chan, D.D.S., M.D. - Oral & Facial Surgeon

Stephen Chan, D.D.S., M.D., grew up in Southern California and earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California – Los Angeles. He received a D.D.S. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry, then completed a two-year hospital dentistry residency at the UCLA Medical Center. During that time, Dr. Chan provided dental services to medically compromised, mentally and physically challenged patients. He also administered intravenous (IV) conscious sedation and performed comprehensive dental treatment under general anesthesia in the operating room.

Dr. Stephen Chan earned an M.D. degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, after training at multiple hospitals including Children’s Medical Center, Zale/University Hospital, St. Paul Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, JPS Hospital at Fort Worth, Baylor Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His experience included completion of a general surgery internship, training as an anesthesia resident and expanded-scope facial and cosmetic training.

Dr. Chan is a Diplomate in Special Care Dentistry by the American Board of Special Care Dentistry, and is board certified in hospital dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists. He also holds certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and has general anesthesia, intravenous (IV) sedation and oral sedation permits. Dr. Chan has multiple research and clinical publications as well as presentations and lectures.

Aidan Phan, D.D.S., M.D. - Oral & Facial Surgeon

Aidan, Phan, D.D.S., M.D., grew up in a suburb north of Chicago, Illinois, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Premedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. After graduating from dental school with high honors at Indiana University School of Dentistry, he went on to complete an M.D. degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Medical Center at Dallas, followed by an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Dr. Phan trained at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other hospitals in the DFW Metroplex. His experience included extensive training in anesthesia, reconstructive surgery of facial deformity and trauma injuries, and minimally invasive cosmetic enhancements.

He views his specialty as a bridge between the medical and dental field. Many procedures that he performs, such as corrective jaw surgery and dental implants, satisfy both the functional and cosmetic needs of the patient. Dr. Phan also holds certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and has general anesthesia, intravenous (IV) sedation and oral sedation permits.

Korey Moore - Administrative Office Coordinator

Korey has been with our practice since the very beginning and is highly skilled at all aspects of the practice. She is extremely knowledgeable in administrative duties, insurance, treatment planning, and overall patient coordination. Korey also assists with all licensing and contracting for the doctors and business.

Kendra Golden, RDA - Surgical Assistant

Kendra comes to us from Kansas City transitioning to Texas where she began her work in oral surgery. She brings her 13 years experience to our practice and has been with us from the very beginning. Kendra has made it her mission to treat each patient with respect and dignity. She understands that many patients come with concerns and fears and has been able to deal with this in a manner that greatly reduces the stress a patient may feel with their treatment. We all desire to make your experience the best it can be and Kendra is an integral part of the team on achieving this.

Sierra Fullerton - Treatment and Implant Coordinator, Marketing Administrator

Sierra is a recent transplant from Colorado and has worked in the medical and dental field for 6 years. She enjoys camping, backpacking, boating and the outdoors as well as raising her little girl and being a newly-wed. Sierra is our creative marketing director who acts as a liaison between Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery and your general dentist's office. In addition to her marketing skills and knowledge, she is our treatment planner and inter-office implant coordinator. She works effectively to ensure a smooth patient transition during treatment as well as educate them about the latest advances in surgery and implant therapy.

Jessica Owens, RDA - Surgical Assistant

As a Plano/Richardson native, Jessica is relatively new to Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery and the vast world of oral and maxillofacial surgery in general. Jessica graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and joins our team with 10+ years of experience in public education and mental health. As a Registered Dental Assistant, Jessica assists the doctors in all stages of treatment and is devoted to providing quality care with an emphasis on patient comfort. Jessica believes that everyone is deserving of a beautiful smile.

Kim Clements, RDA - Surgical Assistant

Kim, a Registered Dental Assistant, is the newest member to the surgical team that is Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery. Kim completed her clinical externship at CFOS and we are extremely fortunate to have found such a wonderful team member. She is currently a select member of the National Technical Honor Society. In addition to assisting the doctors with all surgical procedures, Kim is also dedicated to ensuring that the surgical environment is kept above industry standards. Kim values quality patient care and is dedicated to providing a surgical experience that is both pleasurable and comfortable.  Kim believes that a great smile increases self-esteem and wants you to smile!
