Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery is proud to call Richardson, TX its home. Our advanced and modern office is conveniently located on the southwest corner of Jupiter Rd. and President George Bush Turnpike across from the Cisco complex. The practice was founded by two friends, Stephen Chan, DDS, MD and Aidan Phan, DDS, MD, to provide surgical care in the most comfortable, safe and technologically advanced environment possible. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Phan completed dental school, medical school, and a rigorous oral and maxillofacial surgery residency based at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas. Our physicians training provides a wealth of experiences in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery at many of the major hospital institutions in the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex.
As a full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, our patient services include but is not limited to biopsies and removal of oral/facial cysts and tumors, dental implants, facial implants, maxillofacial trauma such as nasal/septal deviation and facial bone fractures from previous injuries, dento-alveolar surgery (including impacted and wisdom teeth), orthognathic (corrective/cosmetic jaw surgery) and advanced reconstructive surgery, pediatric oral surgery, advanced major and minor bone grafting, evaluation for cosmetic surgery, periodontal soft tissue or gingival surgical therapy, and surgical treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Because of our specialized surgical experience with the face, we are able to provide adjuvant therapy for aging changes such as Botox®, laser treatments for wrinkles and discolorations, scar revisions and cosmetic fillers (Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvederm®). This office is also equipped to provide the full range of anesthesic options including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), intravenous (IV) sedation and even general anesthesia. This allows you to receive the best surgical care while you are comfortable and sedated.
Each of the caring staff members at Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery brings a wealth of 
experience to help provide a positive experience for the patients. Contemporary Facial and Oral Surgery's advanced facility was built to meet the highest standards. The practice plans to get accreditation status by the Joint Commission as an office based surgical facility. This rigorous process is completely voluntary and encompasses a complete review of the practice, including practice administration and governance, patient safety, infection control, environment of care, and patient rights and responsibilities, just to name a few. This is the same process that hospitals must accomplish to become certified and provide care for their patients. In addition to rigorous safety protocols, all staff members are CPR certified.
